While they had just browsed the fridges of the Aldi store on Avenue Joseph Baeck, in Molenbeek, in search of dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, no trace of this product. And for good reason: it had been placed in a non-refrigerated section.
The couple then reports the problem to a salesperson. “With all the health scandals we are hearing at the moment, I think there is a problem in the food industry,” says the dad. However, no change when they leave the store. “They were still there. I don’t think I’ll go back there, I’m not very confident in the staff working there anymore,” he added.
Contacted by our colleagues from RTL INFO, the brand indicated that the products would be withdrawn from sale and destroyed as soon as possible. “We advise not to leave meat for more than two hours at room temperature and even less time than that if it is hot”, recalls the federal agency for the safety of the food chain (Afsca).
