I don’t see an intra-party opposition in ND, what did he say about SYRIZA

The Minister of State, Makis Voridisspoke to “Society Hour MEGA” about the inside the SWthe migratory and the official opposition.

“Our country is now experienced and good at managing animal diseases. The way they manage the quarantine and the type of livestock quarantine to avoid the spread, and the support of the professionals we are good at it. In the matter of the plague, which was extremely difficult, an exemplary management was carried out which the European Commission recognized and described as an example”, initially emphasized Mr. Voridis regarding the issue of the plague in animals.

Regarding the money from OPEKEPE that they are asking back, Mr. Voridis pointed out that, “there has indeed been an issue, so we will see how we will make any recovery, so that it is the mildest way and is not burdensome for farmers’ incomes. We are looking at the mechanism.”

Among other things, Mr. Voridis referred to the work of the government, the internal affairs of the ND and also the other parties.

“Apparently this image shows a crisis in the ax. opposition. I am talking about the institutional role of SYRIZA. This crisis is protracted and in my estimation, I don’t see it ending anytime soon, that is, with the elections. The issue of the election, all that they are saying to each other, the political framework that they have put in place, it doesn’t look like that is being resolved or can just be overcome. Of course, everything has a reason. and that reason lies within the way he dealt with a number of issues. Kasselakis I think, the main problem he has is that he has no osmosis and no connection with the tradition of this space. It may have had an internal resonance, but the tradition of this space, i.e. an identity with leftist spaces, all of this has nothing to do with Kasselakis”, he underlined with reference to SYRIZA.

For the ND internal parties he stressed: “I don’t see an intra-party opposition in the ND. If we consider internal party opposition that some MPs asked questions, it is 6,500 questions in total. To be fair you can ask them if they are an intra-party opposition or if they feel that way. secondly, it is that in the final analysis for 5.5 years we have had a single KO, which has supported the government on all the major issues we have faced, without the slightest disagreement. Parliamentaryly there is no crisis. It is an institutional obligation of the government of ministers to listen to the MPs. Parliamentarians are representatives of the nation. ND MPs convey the voice of the people and there is an institutional obligation of cooperation and understanding. Highlighting an issue for a member of parliament is part of his job, it is his duty and part of our political system. raising an issue by a member of parliament does not create an issue”.

For him Antonis Samaras: “The political process for the 50 years of the ND took place at our Congress. There was also the political message for the 50 years. there were also Mr. Karamanlis and Samaras. We always listen to former prime ministers and their views but the government has its views. We don’t criticize, we respect their opinions.”

Regarding the strategic choices of the ND, Mr. Voridis pointed out: “The ND has not moved away from its strategic choices. Greek-Turkish dialogue is held by all governments over time. The Greek-Turkish dialogue has a result, illegal immigration has decreased, violations in Greek airspace have decreased. There is no background. Our positions are fixed and it is a common position of our foreign policy. There is constant information from the prime minister. To give the possibility to investigate whether within the framework of our limited foreign policy, if there is a possibility of dialogue. It can be found that there is no possibility.’

“Regarding the migratoryflows are absolutely low and controlled. We have taken in three times the number of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers and we are currently managing 1/3 of what we started since we took over the government of the country. We have closed over 100 reception centers. The policy of arresting migration flows has changed. It is not an easy country to come to illegally, so they prefer other routes. The fence has played a role, the effective guarding of the border. Another part is the rapid processing of asylum applications”, emphasized Mr. Voridis in closing.
