The fifth season of Married at first sight follows its course on RTL-TVI. Almost 80% compatible according to science, Nathalie and Michael will soon meet for D-Day. Will they fall in love with each other at first sight? Each on their own, they cogitate. “My fears is that I don’t like her physically”, says the 45-year-old mechanic.
In front of the door of the wedding hall, Nathalie does not hide her anxiety either. “I can’t control my stress. I’m going to pass out”, she declares.
Once face to face, the stress drops a little but on Michael’s side, it’s not won. His look says it all and does not deceive those close to him. “It’s not really his style of woman“, says the brother of the future groom to the camera. “She is a strong woman compared to her ex-companions”, launches another of his relatives.
Despite everything, Michael “let himself be carried away by the choice of science” and said “Yes” to Nathalie who responds in the same way. But, the 45-year-old man is still distant with his wife. “I feel more comfortable with his friends than with him”, said Nathalie during the ceremony. “I was not the most comfortable. It was weird. I had the impression of being outside my body and saying to myself: ‘But what are you doing?’”, declares, for his part, Michael.
During the evening, Nathalie confides in her friends in the toilets and bursts into tears. She doesn’t understand Michael’s aloofness. The latter retires to the balcony with his loved ones and says what is on his heart. Contrary to what he had been able to tell the experts, the physique is of great importance to Michael. And with Nathalie, it does not pass at this level. “I didn’t expect that… Physically…“, he says as his friends try to reason with him.
After an interview with Jean-Luc Beaumont, expert on the love of Married at first sight, Michael feels a little more at peace. As the doctor of psychology recommends, he will give Nathalie a chance and try to get to know her better. Together, they share a dance on Amir’s Long Time. A suspended moment where the current finally seems to pass well between the bride and groom. “I’m happy with the end“says Nathalie who is a little more reassured than at the start of the evening.
Will Michael be able to exceed his physical expectations? After a good night’s sleep, he will certainly have clearer ideas…
