Al-Marsad newspaper: A leaked video revealed the dialogue that took place between Khaled Abu Rashid, the golden member of Al-Ahly Club, and Majid Al-Nafaei, the club’s president, during the club’s general assembly, which was held the day before yesterday, following the club’s relegation to the first division for the first time in its history.
A hot conversation between Abu Rashid and Al-Nafei
Abu Rashid told Al-Nufai during the video that the debts were not a reason for the club’s decline, noting that Al-Nafaei contracted with players and a coach, and the debts were not an obstacle.
Majed Al-Nafaei interrupted him, saying: We already contracted with players, but they were free. Abu Rashid replied, saying: I did not interrupt you, and do not say debts, we owed last season and the season before it, and the club did not land.
Al-Nafaei signed a coach who was going to go down with his club
He continued talking regarding the coach, saying to Al-Nafie: How do you sign a coach for Al-Ahly Club who would have been relegated to his club? Pointing out that it is not a matter of luck, but of a bad choice.
Al-Ahly finished the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup in the 15th and penultimate place with 32 points, to be relegated to the Yellow League for first-class clubs, which exposed Majid Al-Nafie’s management to criticism.
This is the first time in the club’s history that it has been relegated to the lower division of the Saudi League with all its names.
