Thodoris Zagorakis is an active Member of the European Parliament of New Democracy and a candidate for Member of the European Parliament, in the upcoming European elections, with PASOK. And “heard”… a lot about this choice.
“I don’t think I’ve betrayed anyone” answered Thodoris Zagorakis when on Thursday morning (25.04.2024) he was a guest of Giorgos Liagas on the Morning show and talked about June’s European elections, his wife and his children.
And after making it clear that he will never betray anyone while dealing with the public, the MEP candidate explained his decision to switch from New Democracy to PASOK as follows: “there are some decisions at some moments when you say this is over and you have to move on” .
“Whatever I had to do, I did it in the most honest way. We had a meeting with the man, who came on behalf of Maximos – this had been done since February – when something goes wrong you understand it and this started much earlier, from 2020-21 with some issues that existed.
All is well, good success to one, good success to the other and at some point let’s get something out that it’s over and move on, on the condition that I honor the people’s vote until the end of my term”, noted the Thodoris Zagorakis.
And he added: “Nikos Androulakis proposed to me and I accepted.”
The discussion could not miss the mention of his wife, Ioanna Lili, with whom they have two children, Maria and Giannis.
“If it’s good or if it’s bad that we stay a long time away from each other, you’ll ask Joanna when she comes.
She does the heavy lifting. And especially at an age of adolescence and pre-adolescence, you understand that it is very difficult.
My daughter Maria is 17 and Giannis is 14. You understand that these ages are difficult to manage, you live it and you know it. Ioanna also helped me with the book,” he said.
