Heart stroke ” Joy Dingetschweiler, a 20-year-old artist creates clothes and exhibits her creations on Instagram.

Joy Dingetschweiler, a 20-year-old student from Friborg, has always been interested in art: “My family on my mother’s side is very artistic. My mom is a graphic designer and my grandfather is a painter,” he says. “I kind of always bathed in it, since I was little.” Very young, Joy might not find clothes that suited him and in which he might feel comfortable. He therefore began to dress in his own creations, in a very ample and colorful style.

Subsequently, he decided to sell his clothes on the Instagram platform, in particular t-shirts on which he draws: “I see myself as an artist who likes to express himself through colors and I am mainly inspired by masks Africans (masks in the form of animals, humans or both, editor’s note)”, he explains. “Drawing them on a three-dimensional object gives me additional creative freedom, in addition to the colors, thanks to the shapes and movements of the garment.”

Currently, Joy Dingetschweiler continued her studies at the Zurich University of the Arts. At the same time, the young man, also known by his artist name Le Garçon des Fleurs, also carries out multiple personal projects, which he publishes on his Instagram account. His specialty is short films presenting various themes: “It’s another form of artistic expression for me”, he reveals. “I can express a subject more deeply, partly because of the framing and the various scenes and ways of filming them.” A subject that is particularly close to his heart is hope: “The luxury for our youth is to do what we love,” he confides. Which for The Flower Boy is the key to having self-confidence. “If you have ambition and passion, you can manage to create something magnificent and it’s a capacity, I think, that everyone has in them, you just have to find it,” he smiles. .
