This Saturday August 20, TF1 launched the eighth season of “The Voice Kids” with Louane and Julien Doré among the new coaches but also Kendji Girac and Patrick Fiori in the red armchairs. Among the 3.2 million viewers who followed the program in our French neighbors, a certain Véronique Genest was one of them. The interpreter of Julie Lescaut did not comment on the songs or the candidates, but wanted to criticize the public sitting behind the coaches. “I tried ‘The Voice Kids’ but the masked public is too much for me, I can’t stand this masquerade anymore so it will be without me”, she wrote on Twitter, with a hashtag “Stop Sanitary Hysteria”.
Remember, however, that the blind auditions were shot between November 2 and 4, 2021. The health rules were therefore not at all the same at the time. “Maybe”, replies the 66-year-old actress to a surfer who tells her. “But 6 months ago I mightn’t stand it anymore so I’m not watching.”
