Although the arrival of Mariano Sandoval to Hoy was an open secret, it seems that Pedro Sola hoped that this would not happen. This April 30, the former chef of Venga la Alegría debuted on Televisa’s morning show, where the hosts Tania Rincón, Andrea Escalona, Paul Stanley, Galilea Montijo, Andrea Legarreta, Arath de la Torre and Omar Sandoval -his brother-, gave him they welcomed.
A few days ago, Mariano Sandoval announced on social networks that he was officially out of VLA, a morning news program on TV Azteca where he worked for a decade: “Bandita, following 10 years of work, I decided that my cycle on Venga la alegría had ended and I shared it on time and form within the company. “I greatly value your messages and words for having them so close throughout these years,” he said.
Regarding the speculation generated by his absence from Venga la Alegría, Sandoval stressed that he had to stay on the sidelines to comply with corporate processes and close his cycle at Azteca.

A few days following publishing his farewell video, Mariano Sandoval appeared on the Hoy forum to prepare his first recipe, in the company of his “compi”, Tania Rincón, and Andrea Escalona.
Once his participation concluded, Sandoval was surprised by his brother, Omar, who for many years was the main chef of the morning restaurant. After passing the baton to him, the rest of the drivers appeared and gave the chef a warm welcome.
The moment was shared on the program’s social networks, where the reception was generally favorable. However, among the hundreds of comments that were counted in the publication, one made by Pedro Sola, host of Ventaneando, stood out, who, true to his style, described the arrival of Mariano Sandoval as a disappointment.

As expected, the dart launched by Pedro Sola divided comments. Some users recognized his loyalty to TV Azteca, while others criticized that he was not able to be happy for a former partner who only seeks to prosper in his life:
- “@tiopedritosola, don’t you like the prosperity of other people? What can you expect from people like you who are bad-tempered and envious of the achievements of others?
- “@tiopedritosola is disappointed that he put up with so much bullying, we who follow him and love him are happy for him!”
- “@tiopedritos is a favor he did to you… so much talented chef who has Aztec and never cry to Mariano… now just watch him fade away like one more…”
- “@tiopedritosola I agree with you, he didn’t even say thank you at VLA, at least not to the box as many have done”
- “@tiopedritosola sir please… no one here is worried regarding disappointing you”
Mariano Sandoval joined a list of drivers who have gone from VLA to Hoy. In their battle for the morning ratings, producers of Televisa’s morning show have not hesitated to add presenters who have shone in the TV Azteca program. Before Sandoval, Fernando del Solar, Mauricio Mancera, Carlos Arenas, Raquel Bigorra, Ingrid Coronado (Alex Reed host) and recently Tania Rincón, have joined the program that Andrea Legarreta, Galilea Montijo and Raúl Araiza have led for years.
As happened with Mariano Sandoval, each case was marked by controversy and even criticism from former colleagues at TV Azteca.
