According to Bill Gates, there is no problem with traveling the world in a private plane, because he is the only “solution” to climate change.
The American businessman, who is now one of the richest people in the world, owns four private jets, the total value of which is 194 million dollars. Linnaeus University professor Stefan Gössling recently produced a study that found Gates flew more than 342,790 km by private jet in 2017. According to the World Bank’s estimate, the businessman is responsible for 1,760 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which is 100 times more than the per capita emissions in the United States.
However, in an interview with a BBC reporter, he said that all of this is perfectly fine, because he is doing more than anyone else to combat global warming. According to him, he still does “spends billions of dollars” to combat climate change, so its ecological footprint is not a problem at all.
“Should I stay home and not come to Kenya to learn regarding agriculture and malaria?” – asked. He added that he was comforted by the thought of being part of the solution to climate change through the billions being spent by Breakthrough Energy Group.
NEW: A BBC reporter asked Bill Gates directly why his climate activism should be taken seriously, as he continues to fly private all over the world:

During the interview, Gates also noted that he was specifically surprised by the fact that it was “conspiracy theories” was in the crosshairs for repeatedly speaking out in favor of vaccinations during the coronavirus pandemic. And although he was once still curious regarding what people were saying regarding him online, now he repeated that according to him mass vaccination of humanity is more important than traveling to Mars (as advocated by Elon Musk).
