When we speak of Latin American productions we must refer to “I am Betty the Ugly one” as one of the great examples of recent years. This melodrama that revolves around the day-to-day life of a not-so-graceful secretary burst onto the open signal in Colombia in the late 1990s, reaching levels of local and international success.
In this sense, the actress Natalia Ramírez, who played the feared “Marcela Valencia” spoke for a well-known radio program regarding her experience on the set of this mythical novel.

At the beginning of the interview before “La Caminera” of EXA FM., Ramirez He said that he had several doubts when accepting the role of ‘Marcel Valencia’, since by then the actress had other plans in mind.
However, Natalia decided to accept the role in question and dramatize one of the most remembered characters in such a melodrama. As we know, the rest is history, since dramatizing ‘Marcela’ earned her internationalization at the acting level.
