TikToker @KarlitaBonitaa said she worked at Apple stores for three years.

She uses the knowledge gained while working at Apple to give her TikTok followers hacks, tricks, and insights to get the most out of their Apple devices.

In one of the most viewed videos, she advises not to leave liquids in the workspace. One spill can kill your laptop, phone or tablet.

“If one of my devices got liquid, I wouldn’t put it in the rice,” she said.

In a follow-up TikTok, @KarlitaBonitaa explains that grains of rice can get into the device’s port holes and damage the internal hardware.

The original video advises users to occasionally intentionally power off their gadgets.

“You won’t be using your computer for too long without deliberately shutting it down,” she said.

MacWorld reported that shutting down your Apple computer will clear your device’s random access memory (RAM) and make your device clean.

RAM is a short-term storage container with recent searches and app usage on your computer. If your RAM is clogged, your computer will slow down and shutting it down will solve the problem.

TikTok videos also remind users to clean their devices and keep their workspaces clean.

The serious thing is that bugs can crawl into your device. The last thing users want is a bug that makes them feel at home inside the product.
