Jakarta –
The Hyundai Santa Fe has not even been released in Indonesia for a month. Reception of this large SUV has been positive.
PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia Chief Marketing Officer Budi Nur Mukmin said the latest Santa Fe is an option for SUV fans with a design that is not widely adopted by other manufacturers.
“Three big digits, orders (Santa Fe) have already come in. This is something that is proof, our consumers are actually refreshing the options on the market, usually specific to certain models. It’s only been two weeks (since the Santa Fe was launched), hopefully in the next month or two there will be interest increase in number,” said Budi in Cikarang, West Java, recently.

“Yes, it’s already over 500 units,” he added.
The Santa Fe Hybrid is here to compete with Japanese hybrid SUVs, and in its class there is the Honda CR-V e:HEV’s toughest competitor.
The Santa Fe is known to have been produced locally at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia factory. However, hybrid car batteries are still imported from South Korea.
The Calligraphy variant of the Hyundai Santa Fe with a turbo hybrid engine is the most ordered model. Because the majority of Indonesians tend to choose to buy cars with the highest trim.
In general, the All New Hyundai Santa Fe is available in two engine options. First, there is a 2,497 cc four-cylinder petrol engine with 194 PS of power and 246 kgm of torque. Meanwhile, the transmission is eight-speed automatic.
Second, there is a 1,598 cc four-cylinder turbo hybrid engine which, when combined with an electric motor, can produce 235 PS of power. Meanwhile, the transmission is a six-speed automatic.
The Hyundai Santa Fe already has the BlueLink connectivity feature which provides many conveniences for the driver. This vehicle also has Hyundai Smartsense technology with a package of features such as blind-spot collision-avoidance assist (BCA), lane following assist (LFA), parking collision-avoidance assist (PCA), smart cruise control, forward collision-avoidance assist with JT.
Apart from that, standard features are still included, starting from rear lower-tray, UV-C sterilization multi-tray, dual wireless charger, bilateral multi console, parking distance warning and many more.

The Hyundai Santa Fe: So Hot Right Now!
The Hyundai Santa Fe has only been in Indonesia for what – a month? Yet, it’s already pulling in orders faster than a magician pulling rabbits out of hats. Or should I say, SUVs out of the showroom? Yes, folks, it looks like this large SUV has stolen hearts faster than a soap opera star’s infidelity scandal!
Budi Nur Mukmin, the Chief Marketing Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, seems relatively pleased—or perhaps he’s just practicing his “excited chair dance.” He’s been busy sharing that “three big digits” of orders have flown in like enthusiastic fans at a concert. Can you imagine? Just two weeks in, and the market is buzzing about it like bees at a flower festival. Talk about impressive timing!
Why the Hyundai Santa Fe is a Game Changer
So, what’s all the fuss about? Budi states that the latest Santa Fe design is something that isn’t simply recycled from last year’s models. It’s like they took a recipe from Grandma but added a modern twist—like grandma suddenly mastering Instagram filters!
Beyond its good looks, the Santa Fe is vying for a piece of the hybrid SUV pie, going head to head with Japanese titans, most notably the Honda CR-V e:HEV. It’s equipped with the Calligraphy variant featuring a turbo hybrid engine that has folks ordering it like they’re at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Let’s be honest: who can resist the allure of that top-tier trim?
And speaking of performance, the Santa Fe comes with two engine options. One is a 2.5L four-cylinder petrol engine—because why have one cylinder when you can have four? It boasts 194 PS of power and 246 kgm of torque, which is sure to make your grandma’s old station wagon feel like a shopping cart. The second option? A zippy 1.6L turbo hybrid engine that packs a punch with 235 PS when paired with an electric motor. Talk about impressive! They’ve given it an eight-speed automatic transmission. I mean, even my coffee maker has fewer options!
Tricked Out Features Galore!
Let’s talk tech! The Santa Fe is loaded with nifty features that would make even Tony Stark say, “Nice!” With the BlueLink connectivity feature, you can basically stay connected to your car like it’s your clingy friend from college.
Plus, you get Hyundai Smartsense technology designed to keep you safer than a toddler in a bubble wrap suit! It includes blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, lane following assist, and even parking collision-avoidance assist. I mean, how many precautions does one need before they feel comfortable to park? Having said that, if a five-star hotel comes with parking assistance, I’m all in!
Are you still uncertain? The standard features go above and beyond. Rear lower trays, UV-C sterilization multi-trays (no, that’s not an advanced kitchen gadget—it’s for your car!), dual wireless charging, and a symphony of other bells and whistles that could distract a Renaissance fair juggler.
So, the question remains: will the Santa Fe maintain this momentum in the coming months? With the orders already exceeding 500 units, it may just be the SUV that turns your average commute into a red-carpet event. Until next time, may your rides be smooth, and your SUVs even smoother!
