Hyundai has patented a walking car, the concept of which was shown back in 2019. How informs Auto.ru magazine, the car was named UMV, which stands for Ultimate Mobility Vehicle.

The car must outperform any SUV, which is reflected in its name. Instead of wheels, it will have four sliding swivel “legs”. They allow you to overcome various obstacles on the way or go through large pits.
The “limbs” of the UMV are capable of lifting the body to a height of up to 1.5 meters. Modifications will be both passenger and cargo. The creators suggest using the car, including in search and rescue operations, and the car itself can be completely unmanned.
The technical characteristics of the car have not yet been disclosed, as well as the timing of the start of production. At the same time, even at the presentation of the concept, Hyundai announced that it was going to launch the vehicle in a series.
