Hyundai Morocco celebrated Thursday, June 8, 2023 the official inauguration of its new branch in Kenitra, marking an important step in its commitment to clean mobility and technological innovation. The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Bryan Park, Head of Hyundai Motor Company Middle East & Africa Headquarters, Roy Lee, Sales General Manager Hyundai Motor Company Middle East & Africa Headquarters, Khalil Al Sheikh, Managing Director of Global Engines, Oubada Nassereddine , General Manager Global Engines and Oussama Berrada, General Manager Global Engines.
In his opening speech, Bryan Park expressed his satisfaction with the remarkable organization and design of the showroom, which testifies to Hyundai Morocco’s strong commitment to its customers. He also wanted to express his appreciation to Global Engines for its outstanding sales performance and growing market share. Hyundai Morocco posted record monthly sales last April and reached the highest market share of 11.2% this year. This rapid growth is the result of Global Engines’ continuous efforts to strengthen the Hyundai brand and provide customers with a unique experience and complete satisfaction over the past 25 years, he added.
For his part, Oussama Berrada, General Manager Global Engines, underlined in his opening remarks that this inauguration marks a major turning point in Hyundai Morocco’s commitment to the future of mobility. The new branch is home to the first new generation Fast Charge station for electric vehicles, a service that will now be offered free of charge to Hyundai Morocco customers.
The Group has announced that this station will be easily accessible via a mobile application specially developed by Hyundai Morocco to facilitate access to all charging stations at all Hyundai sites. According to Berrada, this initiative demonstrates Hyundai Morocco’s unwavering commitment to clean mobility and its ambition to be at the forefront of technological innovation.
Some highlights regarding the performance of this branch were also shared during the groundbreaking ceremony. In the city of Kenitra, Hyundai occupies the second position with a market share of 19%. With 354 vehicles sold at the end of May 2023, the branch achieved an increase of +8.3% compared to the same period in 2022.
The new Hyundai branch in Kenitra covers an area of 11,000 m². It includes a spacious showroom of 1,600 m², an following-sales service area of 1,700 m² and a spare parts store of 800 m². In addition, a Fast-Charge space dedicated to electric vehicles is also available, accessible free of charge for Hyundai Morocco Customers via the mobile application, thus offering greater proximity and ease of access to customers.
During the inauguration ceremony of the Kenitra site, a prestigious distinction was awarded by Bryan Park, Head of Hyundai Motor Company Middle East & Africa Headquarters. The “DOTY” (Dealer of the Year) trophy was awarded to the Director of the Casablanca branch, in recognition of his exceptional performance.
The “DOTY” trophy is awarded according to rigorous evaluation criteria, which take into account key aspects of the business of Hyundai dealerships. This ‘global’ assessment is conducted on a global scale, with participation from the top 100 Hyundai sites worldwide.
