HughThe production of Kunjan SUV, which is regarding to enter India’s vehicle range, has started. The first vehicle was launched from Hyundai’s Tamil Nadu vehicle manufacturing plant last day. The pictures released by Hyundai indicate that the first unit has been manufactured in Ranger Khaki, the signature color of Exter micro SUV.

India’s fastest growing micro SUV Hyundai’s entry into the range is made possible by the Exeter. Extor competes with vehicles like Tata Punch and Citroen C3 which already have a strong presence on the market. The booking of this vehicle, which is going to be introduced in the Indian market on July 10, has already started. Bookings are accepted by charging an advance amount of Rs 11,000.
Exter comes in five variants namely EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. It is indicated that this vehicle is also being prepared in Hyundai’s global design, which has been given in vehicles like Exter and Ionic 5. Exter comes with the latest features in the segment. The highlight is six airbags across all variants.
The Exter will also be powered by the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine offered in vehicles like the Grant i10 Nios and Aura. 82 bhp Power is 114 Nm. This engine produces torque. There is also another variant of Xter which offers CNG kit along with petrol. The Exter will also be available with Smart Auto AMT and five-speed manual transmission options.
