O HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 has just been launched in Brazil. The information came from HP, current owner of the Hyperx product line, which is focused on the development of “gamer” peripherals aimed at eSports. Among the changes made to its design is to visualize where the adjustment of the arch (headband) is on each side. Through a small opening in the structure, it is possible to see numbers when sliding.

HyperX’s new Stinger 2 remains lightweight and weighs less than 300g. However, its cable is not removable and its ear pads (“cushions”) are made of PVC/PU that imitates leather, thus reducing its durability. In the case of the cable, there is no way to avoid bad contact when using the headset, requiring replacement at some point, but the PVC/PU ear pads will peel off at some point, in addition to heating the ears more.

The cable plug is 3.5mm TRRS to allow the use of the microphone built into the headphone, but there is an adapter to split into two TRS plugs to separate the transmission of the headphone and the microphone when connecting to the desktop computer (desktop). . Furthermore, it is interesting to observe that the volume control is done through a small wheel underneath and one of the ear cups (“shells”). Also note that the ear cups can be rotated 90° to support the headset on the neck during breaks.
