The General Auditor of the Nation, Miguel Ángel Pichetto, came out today to once once more attack the administration of President Alberto Fernández. He maintained that it is “one of the worst governments in democratic history” and warned that “hyperinflation is knocking on the door.
In dialogue with «New Normal» from Radio Rivadavia, the referent of Together for Change stated that «Argentine society is suffering all the effects and consequences of a set of totally unwise measures».
The former candidate for vice president of Together for Change recalled that “This government is the one that led us into an endless quarantine that destroyed the economy and any economic recovery process«.
Along these lines, he considered that the current critical situation of the economy is explained by the management of the “government of epidemiologists” during the coronavirus pandemic, when the population was forced to remain “locked up in their homes” for “almost a year”. .
“The economy was paralyzed for a year. There was an overflowing monetary issue and all kinds of plans, with the priests praying and in on TV the epidemiologists saying that you were going to die“, evoked Pichetto.
The leader of Republican Peronism warned that the result of that first policy is that now the country faces a scenario with “hyperinflation knocking on the door”, and a situation of «deterioration of salary» and «impact on retirements».
“We are facing the end of the cycle and this has to end, and we must begin to build a capitalist Argentina linked to the world of work, production and security,” he said.
In another order, he referred to the multiplicity of candidacies on the electoral mapand in this regard he stressed that «there are many candidates, but some do not get an idea«. He also regretted that former President Mauricio Macri is considering not running for the next elections, although the founder of the PRO has not yet communicated a final decision on the matter.
“One understands the vicissitudes of the political man, Now Macri’s withdrawal is also given with the support of 41% of society. I was part of that processPichetto reflected.
And he ended by saying that “Macri should be a candidate because the issue of leadership is essential for a political project.”
