Hyo-joo Kim (27) and Hee-young Yang (33) tied for 11th in the third round of the Honda LPGA Thailand (total prize money of $1.6 million) on the LPGA Tour.

Hyo-joo Kim caught 6 birdies in the third round of the tournament held at Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course (par 72, 6,576 yards) in Chonburi, Thailand on the 12th, and blocked one bogey, hitting 5-under 67.

Kim Hyo-ju, who was tied for 11th with a 10-under 134 stroke until the second round the previous day, maintained the ranking with a total of 15-under 201 for three days.

It is 6 strokes behind Nana Koerstz Masen (Denmark), who took the lead alone with a 21-under 195 stroke.

Kim Hyo-joo, who failed to defend her title by tied for 26th at the HSBC Women’s World Championship last week, where she appeared for the first time this year, is aiming for the best performance of the season in the following tournament.

On this day, Kim Hyo-joo, who started the game with a birdie on the 1st and 2nd holes in a row, made the only bogey on the 5th hole (par 4).

He changed the mood to a birdie on the 9th hole (par 4), and in the second half, he thinned out consecutive birdies on the 14th to 15th holes and showed a back spirit by reducing one more stroke on the 17th (par 4).

Kim Hyo-joo missed the fairway twice and the green only once on this day, but she had the most putts of 30 putts out of three days.

Yang Hee-young, who won three of her four LPGA career victories in this tournament, reduced six strokes to seven birdies and one bogey on that day, leaping from tied 15th to 11th.

Masen took the lead alone by reducing 6 strokes to 6 birdies without bogey while the game was suspended for regarding an hour and a half due to bad weather such as lightning and resumed.

In 2017, Masen won three victories on the Symmetra Tour in the second part of the LPGA, but did not win on the regular tour. The hopes of winning were inflated.

Brook Henderson (Canada), Nasa Hataoka (Japan), and Gaby Lopez (Mexico) formed a group tied for fourth by three strokes (18 under par 198).

Allison Lee (USA) is tied for 7th (17-under 199 strokes), Lee Min-ji (Australia) is tied for ninth (16-under 200 strokes), and Daniel Kang (USA) is tied for 15th (14-under 202 strokes).

Yoo So-yeon (32) was tied for 18th (13-under 203 strokes), and Lee Jeong-eun (26) and Kim A-rim (27) were tied for 21st (12-under 204 strokes).
