Is the hydrogen plane a viable solution to help decarbonize the aviation sector by 2035? The question is complex, both economically and technologically. Associated with Safran and General Electric, Airbus has promised a model equipped with a hydrogen engine for 2035. The objective is ambitious: banish CO2 emissions from kerosene-fueled vehicles to switch to hydrogen, which, at the moment of its combustion, produces only water vapour.
