Hydrochem Cameroon: NJS Group Acquires Yara Cameroon and Expands Agricultural Offering

The NJS group announces that it has finalized the acquisition of YARA CAMEROON shares from Yara International ASA. The transaction has been approved by the relevant authorities. The NJS Group thus becomes the sole shareholder of the company Yara Cameroun and unveils its new identity, HYDROCHEM Cameroonthe name under which the company will now operate.

The acquisition by the NJS group reflects the group’s desire to expand its offering for the agricultural sector, currently focused on the controlled development of livestock farming. This complete takeover of the company by its historic minority shareholder paves the way for ambitious plans to expand its activities.

Strongly focused on agriculture, the NJS Group, founded by NOUTCHOGOUIN Jean Samuel, pioneer of the Cameroonian poultry industry, has been renowned for over forty years for its implementation of sustainable agricultural practices supported by significant investments and efficient management operations. With its extensive presence, which covers not only Cameroon but also neighboring countries in the CEMAC zone, the NJS Group is well placed to support food security, growth and innovation in this key sector.

To consolidate their collaboration, Yara International ASA and the NJS Group have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for the high-end NPK fertilizers YaraMila and YaraLiva Nitrabor Calcium Nitrate. With this agreement, the NJS group and its subsidiary HYDROCHEM guarantee Cameroonian farmers and agricultural retailers the supply of these key products. As an essential party to this agreement, Yara International ASA will provide technical and operational support to the NJS Group.

The NJS Group, in accordance with its policy of excellence, reaffirms its ambition to promote best agricultural practices in order to increase crop productivity in Cameroon and will extend the policy of daily support for farmers for the constant improvement of agronomic results. crops and the popularization of new techniques.
