Hydro-Québec is in hot water due to various violations of the Environment Quality Act and is the subject of seven counts.

Thus, seven statements of offense were submitted to the Crown corporation on December 15 by the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions. A total of 14 notices of non-compliance had been sent to it beforehand.
