SEOUL, April 13 (Yonhap) — Entertainment company Hybe’s first girl band Sserafim will debut a mini-album next month, its production company, Source Music, announced Wednesday.
The girl group will release their debut EP “Fearless” and hold a showcase at the 4,000 capacity Jangchung Arena on May 2. The event will also be streamed live online, she added.
The Sserafim is a group composed of six members: Miyawaki Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Kim Garam and Hong Eunchae. The first two are former members of the now disbanded girl band Iz*One, while Huh took part in the talent show “Produce 48”.
The group’s name is an anagram of “I’m Fearless,” according to the agency.
Hybe chairman Bang Si-hyuk, who created the superstar group Bangtan Boys (BTS), and the company’s artistic director Kim Sung-hyun were involved in the production of the album.
