Husband kills wife, children, in-laws, injures second child in Alameda

An Alameda man allegedly killed his wife, son and his wife’s parents and shot and wounded another young son in a domestic violence incident Wednesday night.

The shooting happened at a home in the 400 block of Kitty Hawk Road in Alameda. Alameda Police Chief Nishant Joshi Tell KTVU They were called to the home at 9pm on Wednesday night on reports of a mass shooting.

Inside, Joshi said police found a “horrible loss of life” as well as “multiple firearms and vital evidence” linking her husband to four murders.

In a preliminary statement, police said they found “multiple family members suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, including juveniles.”

According to reports, the injured son is in critical condition. According to ABC 7.

The male suspect’s husband has reportedly been arrested, but his name has not been released. Police called him a “person of interest.”

Neighbors on Kitty Hawk Road told KTVU the multi-generational family moved in just a few months ago and seemed “friendly and outgoing.”

Quiet residential street located on the south shore of Alameda Island, close to the bay.

Alameda police were still collecting evidence at the scene Thursday morning. No motive was given for the crime.
