Husband, aged 50, assaults wife in Seraing over malfunctioning family computer.

A 50-year-old man of Turkish descent was brought to the attention of the magistrate at the Liège public prosecutor’s office on Sunday regarding a domestic violence incident. The incident occurred at the man’s home in Seraing, where he became angry upon discovering that his computer was broken following returning from a funeral in Turkey. He then shouted and hit his wife in front of their 13-year-old child. The victim had visible bruises on her cheek and forehead and requires four days off from work. The suspect denies assaulting his wife, stating that she suffers from psychological problems and does nothing at home. The suspect will face an accelerated summons before the criminal court of Liège for this incident.

On Sunday, a 50-year-old gentleman of Turkish origin was presented to the magistrate on duty at the Liège public prosecutor’s office in the context of a scene of domestic violence.

The facts took place at the marital home, in Seraing. On Saturday, the suspect returned from Turkey where he attended a funeral. When he returned home, he found that the computer was broken. He got angry, he raised his voice and then he hit his wife. All in front of a 13-year-old teenager.

The victim was seen by a doctor who objectified hematomas on the cheek and on the forehead. The victim suffers from a four-day incapacity for work.

Heard by the police of Seraing, the suspect denies having struck. He explains that his wife suffers from psychological problems and that she does nothing at home.

On Sunday, the magistrate on duty received the Serésien at the courthouse. The suspect will soon be the subject of an accelerated summons before the criminal court of Liège in the context of this domestic violence.
