The South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu has been exposed to an unprecedented series of natural forces in recent days. In the previous week, Cyclone Judy swept away first on Wednesday and Cyclone Kevin two days later with category four and wind speeds of more than 200 km/h, accompanied by heavy rains. In addition, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred on Friday, which also led to a tsunami warning.
