Hurricane Beryl, the first of the season in the Atlantic Ocean, made landfall in the Caribbean this Monday, July 1, as category 4.

However, over the last few hours It strengthened into a Category 5 hurricane as it passed through several islands, including Barbados.

In this country, Hurricane Beryl caused great havoc destroying roads, port infrastructure and even several vessels.

Barbados Prime Minister Mia Morrley said: Beryl sank more than 20 ships that were wrecked at the bottom of Bridgetown Harbor.

One of these ships was the famous Jolly Roger party cruiser.which sank as a result of the heavy rains and winds generated by this meteorological phenomenon.

The Jolly Roger was recognized as the best party cruise in the Caribbean and over the years it had become famous for transporting thousands of people to different islands near Barbados.

Despite its large size, this cruise ship did not withstand the force of Hurricane Beryl and sank into the depths of the sea.

The sinking of the Jolly Roger was recorded by some Barbadians and immediately went viral on social media, especially on platform X.
