On the morning of July 25, Crytex unveiled Hunt: Showdown 1896, the next phase of its PvP multiplayer where players will be able to join an all-new experience that moves forward chronologically and heads west from the backwaters of Bayou to the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
As part of a free update, it will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 15, 2024.
The first map, Mammon’s Gulch, introduces a new biome that places hunters in the shadow of Colorado’s towering mountains. Adding the element of improved verticality and a host of new tactical vantage points, the peaks tower over the region like sentinels. But hidden beneath the lush forests and towering hilltops, corruption simmers from the mines and oil wells beneath the surface.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 brings with it the power of CRYENGINE 5.11, bringing long-awaited improvements across the entire gameplay experience. With vastly improved visuals, audio design, performance, and other enhancements, Hunt will be more immersive than ever before.
Following the release of Hunt: Showdown 1896, players will also be welcomed back to the Bayou with revamped and restored original maps, available post-launch.
