Hungary raises fighter jets to intercept plane from Ukraine

Aircraft of the Hungarian air force were alerted to intercept an aircraft that entered the airspace of the country from the territory of Ukraine. The newspaper reports Hungary Today with reference to the Ministry of Defense. It is known that the incident took place yesterday.

“Hungarian Gripen fighters were raised on Monday followingnoon due to an unidentified aircraft that invaded the country’s airspace from Ukraine,” the country’s defense department said.

The publication notes that the plane was detected by radar in the eastern part of Hungary. He was heading towards Slovakia.

This incident is not the first – the Hungarian Air Force raised planes on alert for the third time since Saturday.
