Hungary is sending an aid shipment to the victims of the earthquake in Syria

The head of the ministry said that on Tuesday, six trucks will leave for the port of Trieste, where the shipment will be loaded onto a ship and from there it will go to Syria. The donation includes aggregators, warm clothing, medical protective equipment and other medical equipment in order for our country to be able to help the people living in the North-Eastern Syrian region in a difficult situation to get through this period.

“Hungary helps people all over the world who are in trouble, and we are doing so now as part of the Hungary Helps program,” emphasized Péter Szijjártó at Ferenc Liszt International Airport, from where he is traveling to the European Union Energy Council in Brussels.

The minister reported that Hungary was watching the consequences of the earthquake in Turkey with concern, and he pressed as one person for the success of the work of the Hungarian and other rescue teams.

“Hungary provided a lot of help, we sent several aid donations and shipments to Turkey. However, in addition to Turkey, this earthquake also had extremely dramatic effects in the northeastern part of Syria,” he reminded.

All conditions are in place for the development of Hungarian-Uzbek economic cooperation

“Additionally, due to the extremely complicated political and security situation in this area of Syria, rescue is extremely difficult here, and the people living here hardly receive anything from international aid,” he pointed out.
