When you launch a web project, a blog, or create a paper document. It can be interesting to rely on free resources. Indeed, even if over time we have created original graphics, icon sets, or photo or sound banks, we cannot always find the perfect visual internally.
At Passeurs de Savoirs, we have bookmarked free tools and free resource banks that we find useful for everyday needs. And it is not uncommon for our colleagues and friends to ask us regarding where to find free resources for such and such needs.
So we thought it might be good to pool our bookmarks, classify them and take stock of the different user licenses. Because, if it is true that “when it’s free, we are the product”It is also true that the freeness of a resource or a service implies the respect of the conditions of use.
This is how the idea of Free ResourcesWarehouse was born, a site that brings together our discoveries classified by type of resource. (nowadays) :
By indicating for each resource:
- a description,
- a link to the site,
- and a link to the license agreement
Of course it’s incomplete (because we are adding to the tool as we go along).
And of course, you can contribute by sharing your discoveries, there is a form for that.
