The human remains recently discovered in Springfield, Nova Scotia, are those of Barry Albert, a man reported missing on August 28, confirms the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The GRC now considers his death to be the result of homicide.
Barry Albert is also known as Barry Moshe. He was charged with assault following an incident on August 1.
Officers found his remains on October 8 at a property along the way Hastingsat Springfieldregarding 45 km northwest of Bridgewater.
The Major Crimes Unit of the GRC lead the investigation. Other specialized teams from the GRC also participate, as well as the police department of Bridgewater and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office.
