The Huixquilucan government began with the construction of the “Centre for Medical Specialties Expansion Palo Solo”the only one of its kind in the region and which will benefit 20,000 people in the Lower Popular Zone, with services such as pediatrics, gynecology, geriatrics, orthopedics and internal medicine, among others, without having to travel long distances to have specialized care and premium.
By laying the first stone of this new infrastructure, the municipal president, Romina Contreras Carrascopointed out that with this work one of the requests that residents of the area made during their campaign is fulfilled, and contributes to continue attending and ensuring the health of the huixquiluquenses.
“It is a very important day because today we begin with the construction of this Center that will definitely transform many lives. in this center we will have medical specialistssuch as cardiologists, orthopedists, general practitioners, there will also be pulmonologists and others, according to the demand of the population,” said the mayoress.
Accompanied by members of his cabinet and the councilas well as neighbors and auxiliary authoritiesRomina Contreras stressed that the purpose of this space is to meet the request of the population that requested to have medical services with a specialty, since there is currently no such care in the area.
He informed that an investment of nine million pesos will be made and construction is expected to be completed in the second half of next year, so that this Center istart operations soonwith the purpose of saving lives and continue advancing and contributing to providing a better quality of life and health care for the inhabitants of Huixquilucan.
For his part, the General Director of Urban and Sustainable Development, Mario Vazquez Ramosexplained that the new Center for Medical Specialties will be located on land with an extension of thousand 270 square meterswith a construction area of 582 square metersdistributed over two floors, and will have six offices, an emergency area, assessment, treatment, reception, waiting room, pharmacy, social work, multiple uses, nursing, administrative areas, toilets and warehouse, among other spaces.
He explained that, initially, it will have various services, among them, basic medical specialties from the primary care system, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, gynecology and orthopedics; once you are in operation this unit, These services will be expanded and adapted, according to the needs of the users.
The Center for Specialties is part of the actions that the current administration, headed by the municipal president Romina Contrerascarried out to attend to the health of the population and added to the construction of the “El Olivo Complex”located in the community of the same name, which will offer comprehensive care to the inhabitants of this neighborhood, since this ambitious project contemplates the construction of a Community Development Centera police module, a telesecundaria and a telebachillerato, in order to raise the quality of life of the Huixquiluquenses who live in this area.
