The 110 beekeepers who build hives in 11 municipalities in the north of the department will be the first to receive elements and supplies to support beekeeping.
Pollination is an important process for fruit formation and plant reproduction, which is what bees most usefully do. Furthermore, expert reports show that at least a third of all food produced by agriculture benefits pollinators, and that world-class crop values are directly dependent on animal pollination.
Therefore, the importance of beekeeping and crop production leads to the production of honey and other assets for farmers. The good news for beekeepers in the department is that this Thursday, April 27, the first delivery of equipment and supplies will be made in the city of Neiva, for 110 beneficiaries from northern Huila (Aipe, Algeciras, Neiva, Baraya, Tello, Campoalegre , Colombia, Palermo, Rivera, Santa María, and Teruel), who will receive 660 hives (not biological material), 6 for each beekeeper benefited, protective suits, and 1 centrifuge per association.
