The renowned Santiago cumbia performer, Huguito Flores, died in a tragic car accident that occurred in the last hours of this Wednesday, which took place on Route 34, near the town of La Garza, in the province of Santiago del Estero. According to local media sources, the cause of death was confirmed to be cardiorespiratory arrest, a direct consequence of the severe injuries he suffered during the accident.

The renowned 57-year-old artist who enjoyed great popularity was traveling in a Volkswagen Suran car in the company of his wife Carina Soledad Enríquez. The couple had formalized their union through a civil marriage in a private and discreet ceremony on September 15. In addition, Rubén Horacio Enríquez, the artist’s brother-in-law, was also in the vehicle. Tragically, his wife and brother-in-law lost their lives at the time of the accident. The artist was heading to the city of Buenos Aires, since he had scheduled a series of performances for this September 21, on the occasion of Spring Day.
