The actor admitted that he doesn’t like to spend too much, but he can afford to go to high-end restaurants to satisfy his love of good food.

“I’m not a materialist for anything, really, except that I can spend money on food — to an embarrassing level,” he confessed during a chat at the Condé Nast offices in New York, reports Vogue.com. “But I like the art, the beauty of the thing, the connectivity…”

“I remember when I was a college student…I thought if there was one thing I wanted in life, it was to be able to walk into a restaurant without having to check the prices. on the menu.”

Lasagna and good wine

Hugh Jackman is not limited to luxury dining experiences: He also loves the convivial aspect of dining around the table at home with his wife Deborra Lee-Furness and their children Oscar, 22, and Ava, 17.

The Aussie star hasn’t been available for many dinner parties this year as he stars alongside Sutton Foster in the Broadway revival of The Music Man. The show debuted last December and Hugh Jackman has yet to announce its end date.
