Huge scare in Walibi: Camille narrowly extricated herself from an attraction because her harness was not attached

Huge fright for a Frenchwoman who came to spend a day at Walibi Park last week. While riding the Vampire’s roller coaster, she realized that her safety harness was not fastened. She narrowly extricated herself before it started, reported the French daily La Voix du Nord.

“We entered the 6th car from the end and they tied the person who was next to me. And me, they did not tie me. The harness was not lowered at all, the train is left and I had time to jump on my left side, maybe 2 meters further”, Camilla says.

And to add: “I think it’s human error. Unfortunately, these are not things that happen when you work in a big park like that. It’s quite complicated. I’m now very sick, I’ve lost a lot of weight “I’m on anxiolytics to help me sleep. I’m asking them to fix my psychological health. It’s still because of them that all this is happening to me. And that they’re being punished legally. It’s not it’s not normal to hire people you don’t train well.”

La Voix du Nord indicates that Walibi’s manager suggested that Camille file a complaint internally, which was done, before also going to file a complaint at the Tourcoing police station. The amusement park otherwise assumes the error: “For some unknown reason, the usual checks were not properly carried out and the person’s safety harness was not correctly lowered”
