Riyadh: There has been a huge increase in the number of e-commerce companies in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Commerce revealed that more than 4,000 new e-commerce firms were launched in the country in the first quarter of this year.

The figures released by the Ministry of Commerce show that there has been a significant increase in the number of establishments following the first quarter of this year. 4093 new e-commercial establishments were started during this period. This is seventeen percent more than the previous year. With this, the number of e-commercial establishments in the country has increased to 33070. Riyadh is the closest. 13200, 8065 in Makkah and 5294 in Eastern Province are operating in this sector. Electronics, media, fashion, food products etc. are mostly sold through institutions.
