Kabul: A huge explosion in a mosque in Kabul, the Afghan capital. The preliminary information is that twenty people were killed and more than forty were injured in the explosion in the mosque in Khair Khana area of northern Kabul.
The big explosion occurred during the evening prayer ceremony. Nearby buildings were also damaged. It is reported that the imam of the mosque is also among those killed.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast. The investigation of the security team at the site of the explosion is continuing. The Taliban also did not provide a technical explanation for the death toll.
