Independiente Santa Fe suffered a historic defeat by Águilas Doradas in El Campín and after that result, coach Hubert Bodhert had to leave his position, giving way to the Uruguayan Pablo Peirano who arrived to replace him.
Although Santa Fe is still in the group of eight, the Cardinal fans have been quite critical of the style of play that Bodhert had and that did not allow them to be a dominant team on the field.
After his departure, Hubert Bodhert gave an interview to Caracol Radio’s ‘Alargue’ and there he mentioned the sins he committed while leading Santa Fe, but he also left, leaving the team ranked in the top eight.
“We have to look at the performance, why we couldn’t have football as aesthetic as we wanted. Somehow get results. Tomorrow or later, it’s not whether you played pretty or ugly. We had a Santa Fe where a team of this size should always be there, in the eight. Along the way you improve things. When I left, I left the team classified,” Bodhert mentioned.
Likewise, the coach made it clear that there was never an internal problem between the coaching staff, players and even the board and he assured that they were fine, achieving a good relationship between the parties.
“Inside we were always good, with players and managers. We never had problems with the players. In all teams, the 18 in concentration will be happy and those who are not, will not be. Many things have been sold. There is a good relationship with the boys and respect. They have worked in a great way. “We all talked after the game,” Bodhert mentioned.
Learn from mistakes: “we made mistakes like everyone else. We have studied it and it will remain with us as experience. I am calm, I am a person who gives himself. I do my work with passion.
