After approval, the summer grain area in our province is 19.397 million mu this year, with a total output of 9.64 billion catties, an increase of 170 million catties or 1.9% year-on-year. Compared with other provinces in the country, the growth rate of summer grain output in our province ranks second among the 13 major grain producing provinces.
The provincial party committee and the provincial government have taken strong political responsibility and resolutely promoted the implementation of the party and government responsibility for food security. The province dispatched more than 5,000 specialized plant protection organizations and 52,000 high-efficiency plant protection equipment to complete 17.188 million mu of wheat pests and diseases, and the quality of wheat increased.
