It’s been regarding two years since the announcement of the first Watch Fit from Huawei. This version bribed me with its design, ergonomics, large display and large notifications. It seemed to me that it was no longer possible to buy something even cooler for my money – a really great everyday device with a pleasant appearance.
The second version, which is logically called Watch Fit 2, has become even more elegant, more expensive in terms of design. And the screen turned out to be even larger, clearer and more colorful, the connection quality improved, and there was an internal space for offline music storage.
Of the main chips – HarmonyOS with the most smooth animation of 60 fps. AOD mode, downloading watch faces, GPS and many other equally useful features have not gone away. Users will also appreciate the ability to speak by the clock, as it has a loud speaker and a sensitive microphone.
Today there are two versions of the watch on sale: Active and Classic. The latter are distinguished by the presence of a leather strap and an NFC chip. The Active model will cost 10,000 rubles, and the Classic – 12,000 rubles. There are also various discounts for the purchase of other gadgets, but it’s easier for you to find out on the official Watch Fit 2 page in the “Cart” section.

Design
Of course, in the first place in Huawei Watch Fit 2, it is the design that should be highlighted. I am sure that the company relied on this particular feature, since there are “a box full of such devices”, but really stylish ones can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
In my hands, literally and figuratively, there was a model in a gray-blue color. There is also “Pink Sakura” and “Midnight Black”. The last option is boring, in my subjective opinion. It is worth taking only because you want a new watch from Huawei. I would take gray-blue ones for myself, and pink ones for my wife.
The body is made of metal and plastic. The metal was painted in silver color, the side edges are matte. And the bottom is black. The top of the watch is covered with tempered glass. By the way, it is no worse than sapphire: in a month of active use, it did not plant a single scratch, although it fiddled in the country with sawing firewood, laying bricks, and installing lighting equipment in the annex. The device survived submersion in water at a local quarry. And taking a shower with Fit 2 was even more easy for the latter.
The watch glass is slightly curved, but not as much as in the first version. All edges are rounded. Swipe movements are very nice to do. Yes, it looks very nice visually.
The strap is interchangeable. In my case, it was gray-blue. The material is silicone. The classic version is leather. On the same Ozon marketplace, you can find a large number of straps. Well, or go to the vast expanses of AliExpress.
Unfortunately, Fit and Fit 2 straps are not interchangeable. In the latter, the fastening is made a little easier: you need to slightly press on the latch.
Fit 2 strap is pleasant to the touch, hypoallergenic. Moderately slippery, stretches a little.
In general, it gives the impression of a quality gadget that is comfortable for everyday wear. Materials, manufacturing, assembly – all at a very high level. Even somehow I can’t believe that Fit 2 costs regarding 10,000 rubles. I would put them up for 15,000 rubles.
Elements
The strap, as I said earlier, is silicone. The fastening of the clasp is the usual – plastic. The strap is placed in a silicone trencher and does not slip out of it, which is good for long-term use.
On the bottom of the watch, you can see two contacts for charging the battery with a magnetic mount. As far as I understand, most cables with adapters from Huawei bracelets and watches fit it. For example, I charged with a cable from Band 7.
Two sensors and their illumination (green and red) are on a round pedestal. It is slightly convex and periodically leaves an imprint on the hand.
On the right and left on the bottom of the case are buttons for releasing the straps.
On the right is the speaker, and on the left is the microphone. During water procedures, water is poured into them. But I did not have cases when it somehow affected the quality of sound transmission.
Display
The screen diagonal for a fitness bracelet is quite large: 1.74 inches, which is 0.1 inches more than in the first version, and 0.27 inches more than in Band 7.
The resolution has also increased compared to the Watch Fit from 456×280 pixels to 480×336 pixels. The density was 336 PPI. AMOLED matrix. And it is much better than the previous one.
The maximum brightness of the white point is regarding 750 cd/m2. True, there is PWM with a ripple factor of 30 to 50%. But here, it seems to me, this is not too critical, because you look at the watch screen for a short time and infrequently, unlike the same smartphone.
Brightness is adjustable over a wide range. Can be automatic or manual.
Visually, the screen is simply bombastic: bright, clear, with rich colors, the picture is glossy, as if floating above the surface.
I think Huawei Watch Fit 2 can be taken only because of the chic display matrix. It is difficult to describe its qualities in words – it is better to see it live once.
dials
More than 10 dials are stored inside the device. Most of them are customizable, that is, cities are selected, the designations of data measurements or icons are swapped.
Added dials from the proprietary application “Health”. There are a lot of them. There are paid (the price varies from 20 to 150 rubles) and free. Of course, you can find something among the free ones, but those that ask for money are done very well.
I mainly used the standard ones: “energy-intensive” with the weather and “elegant” with the arrows. Some watch faces are interactive, that is, you can launch various applications directly from them: heart rate measurement, blood oxygen level, calendar, weather, and so on. Quite convenient.
Working hours
The device works for a very long time. In a month, I charged it only three times: the first time, when charged at 100%, the battery worked for 12 days (normal mode with notifications), the second time – 7 days (with notifications, heart rate measurements and periodic training sessions of 30-40 minutes with GPS), the third time – regarding 10 days (normal mode with notifications and rare measurements of SpO2, heart rate, without GPS).
All in all, the run time is decent and doesn’t make you think regarding when you need to recharge the watch. Charging time – 1.5 hours. There is no wireless charging.
System and dimensions
In this section, I won’t be able to tell something new regarding the watch, since it runs on HarmonyOS, which is used in other Huawei watches: the same menus, the same smooth speed, no brakes or lags.
On this watch you can receive calls and answer them, reset them. The connection is of high quality, it works at a distance of at least 10 meters indoors, even if it is blocked by walls. In a country house, the signal often finishes from the first to the second floor. That is, the phone can lie at the bottom, and I with the clock can be at the top.
Notifications are large and long. There are templates in the form of emoticons or ready-made answers. Templates are easy to add in the Health app. I have a lot of them there for all occasions. An extremely handy feature, which for some reason is almost never used. Except in Samsung and Apple watches.
Watch Fit 2 has 24/7 automatic blood oxygen monitoring, sleep phase monitoring, stress detection, animated workouts, 97 exercise modes and, of course, GPS.
The measurement accuracy is plus or minus the same as in Watch GT 3 and Watch 3 Pro. GPS sensitivity is average: if you enter a room, then with a probability of 90% the signal will be lost. Outdoors, no problem.
You can “upload” MP3 files into the watch (through the program on your smartphone) and use the gadget as a portable player. For example, when you do not take your smartphone for a run.

A little more detailed description of the functions here:
Impression
In my opinion, Huawei has the best fitness bracelet under 10,000 rubles. The device is elegant, beautiful, the materials are of high quality, the speed of the system is high, there are all possible functions and measurements. And also there are answers to calls and templates for messages.
I tried to find some flaws in the device, but might not. If you really are atrocious, then:
- I would like a price in the region of 7,000 rubles;
- I would like a working time of at least 15 days;
- I would like to type my messages on the watch, and not use templates.
What can be bought from similar things:
- Amazfit Bip 3 Pro. A budget solution for those who care regarding GPS. The cost is regarding 5,000 rubles.
- Amazfit GTS 2. A nice solution for 9,000 rubles.
- Amazfit GTS 3. A more advanced version for 12,000 rubles.
- Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 40mm. Samsung’s most popular round watch. The cost is regarding 16,000 rubles.
As you can see, all options are either expensive or not as interesting as the Huawei Watch Fit 2.
