Prior to its participation in the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, MWC 2022, Huawei unveiled the MatePad Paper that combines a traditional tablet and a smart reader, providing users with the ability to read and write in a way similar to writing on a traditional notebook or paper.
The Huawei device comes with a 10.3-inch screen and a slim and elegant design with a cover that makes it more like a notebook or a digital book, and it can display texts, photos and videos, as well as provide the ability to write on it using the M Pencil and save writings for later viewing.
The Chinese company says that the response speed of the smart pen on this device is 26 milliseconds; Which makes it very smooth when writing.
Users who want to have MatePad Paper to read books, articles, write and take notes digitally to avoid using a lot of paper can take advantage of the ability to connect the device with various Huawei devices thanks to the Harmony system that works on it, and there will be USB ports to connect it with other devices and support WiFi 6 +, with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a battery it says can last up to 4 weeks on the same charge.
This device will be a direct competitor to Amazon’s Kindle devices and other smart readers in the market because of its specifications and the ability to combine some of the capabilities of traditional tablets and smart readers.
It is noteworthy that the company did not announce any details regarding the price of the MatePad Paper or the date of its launch in the market, and if it is directed to specific markets than others or not.
