Huawei will hold a press conference on March 23 in China. The opportunity for the firm to introduce its new flagships, the P60 and P60 Pro, but also the Mate X3 folding smartphone, alongside a new tablet. It is precisely the latter which leaks thanks to Digital Chat Station on the Chinese social network Weibo.
The distinguished leaker indicates that the future MatePad 11 2023 edition will sport an LCD panel with a definition of 2560 x 1600 pixels, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Inside, the product would benefit from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip coupled with 8 GB of RAM, as well as 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. A 7520 mAh battery would be included, with fast charging at 22.5 W. Finally, Hongmeng OS 3.1 (the Chinese version of Harmony OS) would be at the controls of the device. In France, the tablet might continue to run under Harmony OS 2.0, unless the manufacturer announces Harmony OS 3 when it presents its new ranges internationally.
Digital Chat Station specifies that a variant with a matte panel, delivered with an M-Pen stylus, might also be included. A model that would favor note taking and that would approach TCL’s Nxtpaper range, or even the 2022 Huawei MatePad Paper, itself equipped with a monochrome e-Ink panel.
