Huawei officially unveiled the new generation of its foldable phones, Huawei Mate Xs 2, during an event held by the company in China this followingnoon to announce all the specifications.
And the leaks extended to the new vertically foldable Huawei phone during the last period, which confirmed that the Chinese company is working on a new phone with improvements in the level of the screen and internal specifications, as well as improving the quality of the industry from the previous one.
Huawei Mate Xs 2 specifications
The first thing that attracted attention in the new Huawei foldable phone is the design presented by the company. It seems that Huawei is still sticking to the idea of folding outward and not inward, unlike several phones from companies led by the Galaxy Flip.
The new phone came with limited changes in terms of design, but added strength and improvements when talking regarding process and quality, so the new generation came with stronger hinges to withstand more use than before.
Despite that, the phone has become less in terms of weight, weighing 225 grams, compared to approximately 300 grams in the last generation.
As for the actual specifications, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 comes with a 7.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and when folded, the external size becomes 6.5 inches and its resolution is 2480 x 1176 pixels.
The screen in the upper right corner has a small hole for the 10MP selfie camera.
From the inside, the phone works with the Snapdragon 888 processor, which is the generation that precedes the latest 8GEN1, an eight-core processor that supports 4G connectivity, which is a step backwards in the Huawei Mate Xs 2, which comes in 2022.
The processor supports 8 or 12 GB of random memory and 256 or 512 GB of storage space.
The battery in the Huawei Mate Xs 2 has a capacity of 4880 mAh with a 66W charger and Huawei’s second generation Harmony operating system.
The phone will come with a main triple-lens camera as in the previous generation, the main one with a 50-megapixel sensor, the second 13 to capture super-wide images, and the third 8-megapixel telephoto with 3 times optical and digital zoom up to 30 times.
