Huawei’s net profit grew by 75.9% year on year, to 113.7 billion yuan, the company remains the world’s largest manufacturer of network equipment (significantly beating, for example, American Cisco Systems), and also made a record investment in research – spending 142, 7 billion yuan. All this and much more at today’s event was told by Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou, appearing in public for the first time following being released from Canadian captivity. Emphasizing that without US sanctions, the company would not have achieved such success.
