Huawei has just presented various new products at the end of April. In particular, we were able to discover the folding smartphone Huawei Mate Xs 2the connected watch Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro as well as the connected bracelet Huawei Band 7. The latter is intended mainly for athletes as well as those who want to regularly monitor their health. And unlike the two other products presented here, this bracelet is displayed at a very affordable price.
A design worthy of a connected watch
The Huawei Band 7 sports a rather pleasant design, very similar to what connected watches offer. It then has a case large enough for this category of wearable and thus adopts a more square shape than the Xiaomi Mi Band. However, the bracelet shows a beautiful finesse with only 9.99 mm thick. This then makes it possible to have an accessory that weighs only 16 g without the bracelet.
The front of the case is almost entirely occupied by a 1.47-inch AMOLED touch screen. On the materials side, we are entitled to reinforced polymer fiber on the case. Added to this is a silicone strap for more lightness and better solidity. Huawei’s new strap will come in red, black, green and pink.
Huawei Band 7 Features
The Huawei Band 7 has many sensors for monitoring health and sports activities. These include, among others, an SpO2 sensor to measure the oxygen level in the blood, a heart rate sensor, a gyroscope and an accelerometer. They then make it possible to monitor sleep, stress or even the menstrual cycle. However, we regret that the device does not have a GPS and therefore remains dependent on a smartphone to measure routes by bike or race.
For swimming enthusiasts, the case can withstand a pressure of 5 ATM. This then makes it possible to carry it up to 50 m deep. It will nevertheless be necessary to ensure that it is a calm environment because the bracelet will not support the powerful jets of water.
On the battery side, Huawei announces an autonomy of 14 days in standard use. intensive use would then certainly cause a drop in battery life.
Huawei Band 7 price and availability
The Huawei Band 7 connected bracelet is available in China at a price of 269 yuan, or around €40 excluding taxes. It is also the same price as its predecessor, the Band 6. As a reminder, the latter when it was launched in France cost 60 €, which makes it possible to predict a more or less identical price for the Band 7 during a eventual arrival in Europe.
