HTDS presents a new portable mass spectrometer

This tool was designed by the Flir company, for the on-site identification of all chemical agents.

The Griffin 510 from Teledyn Flirmarketed by HTDS has been designed to provide intervention teams with a simpler and more versatile tool for chemical identification and detects CG/SM type products. A linear quadrupole mass spectrometer using the NIST/EPA and NIH libraries, this new detection solution complements the techniques used during emergency missions, allowing responders to analyze all phases of matter (liquid, solid, gaseous ) and performing rapid on-site confirmation of potential chemical hazards.

The built-in, heated sample probe allows operators to identify gas-phase chemical threats in seconds when the device is used in “Survey” mode. The integrated split/splitless injector allows the sampling of environmental, forensic and hazardous materials by syringe injection of body fluids. The Grifin 510 works with touchscreen and automated user controls. The tool is IP65 certified and heat resistant from 0 to 40°C, with relative humidity below 95%.
