HTC Company presented Vive XR Elite is a new augmented and virtual reality headset that does not require connection to other devices to work. Sales will begin in February 2023, the price is $1,000.
The novelty received a pair of screens with a resolution of 2K (1920×1920 pixels) each, which support a refresh rate of 90 Hz and provide a view of 110 degrees diagonally. The Vive XR Elite can be used with regular prescription eyeglasses, and it also supports wired connection to laptops, smartphones or game consoles.
The headset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chip paired with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Four wide-angle cameras are provided to track the movement of controllers or hands. Removable batteries provide up to 2 hours of use without recharging, and the built-in battery provides 10 minutes of operation and allows you to change batteries without turning off the accessory.
