HS Prannoy’s Bronze Medal Win at World Badminton Championship in Copenhagen

Copenhagen: Malayalam player HS Prannoy lost in the semi-finals of the World Badminton Championship. Prannoy lost to Thailand’s Kunwalud Viditsan in a three-game semi-final. After winning the first game 21-18 once morest world number 3 Taramaya Viditsan, Prannoy lost the next two games 13-21 and 14-21. Although he lost in the semi-finals, Prannoy won the bronze medal. Prannoy secured a medal following defeating world number one and reigning world champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark in the quarter-finals to reach the semi-finals. This is the star’s first medal in the world championship.

This is Viditsan’s second consecutive World Championship final. Viditsson lost to Viktor Axelsson in the final last year.
