HP Unveils First Dragonfly Folio Laptop and 34″ AIO Desktop

On the eve of IFA, HP announced four new products to aid productivity. First of all, it is the Dragonfly Folio G3, the first “Folio” flip-screen 2-in-1 laptop in the Dragonfly lightweight business notebook family. It combines the lightness of the Dragonfly series with the design of the Folio that can pull the screen forward, making it easier to work in confined spaces such as airplanes. The Dragonfly Folio G3 weighs 1.41 kg, is equipped with a 13.5-inch 1,920 x 1,280 or 3,000 x 2,000 resolution panel, is equipped with a 12th-generation Core i5 or i7 processor, and can be equipped with up to 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. The Dragonfly Folio G3 also supports handwriting input. Unfortunately, there is no space for a stylus in the body, but it is magnetically attracted to one side and can be charged wirelessly.

Desktop users can look forward to HP’s new 34-inch “All In One” (that’s the product name), whose most interesting feature aside from the 5K widescreen is its 16MP webcam, which can be magnetically attached to the top edge , you can also look at your desktop to share paper files. Plus, you can snap an extra secondary camera in the corner to share files while videoing. In terms of specifications, you can choose a 12th generation Core i5 / i7 / i9 processor, with RTX3050 or RTX3060 graphics card, up to 128GB RAM and 4TB SSD. It also provides two Thunderbolt 4 ports, four USB-A ports, RJ-45, HDMI 2.1 output, audio jack and SD card reader.

In addition to PCs, HP also announced a 32-inch Z32k G3 screen that, in addition to LG’s high-contrast IPS Black panel, can also charge Thunderbolt 4 laptops at up to 100W. It has 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, but the maximum brightness is only 400nits. Finally, the HP965 is a standalone webcam with 4K resolution, AI auto zoom, auto focus and an 18mm f/2.0 lens.

The Dragonfly Folio G3 is already available in the US, priced from US$2,379; All In One is expected to be available in September, priced from US$2,119. The Z32k G3 screen won’t be available until November, and no pricing is available yet, while the HP 965 is already available, priced at US$199.
